Curated by Louisa Ennis-Thomas, the exhibition of new works from invited local artists followed the literary thread with artists reflecting upon their outside influences, with a book from each artist's personal collection accompanying their work in the exhibition.
And no birds sing is a lamentation about the pressure put on birds and their habitats and the impact of the loss of some bird species. It imagines a world without the diverse groups of birds with their rich and varied vocalisations.
